Welcome!

MAHL is a community of homeschooling families who gather for friendship, activities and support. Members come from all walks of life, setting aside differences in approaches to education, curriculum choices, religious and philosophical beliefs, and parenting styles to create a vibrant and inclusive homeschooling community.


Service Area
MAHL serves all of Southeastern Wisconsin with most of our members residing in Milwaukee, Ozaukee,  Washington, and Waukesha counties. 
Our members mostly host events near where they live but we also branch out now and again for events all over Wisconsin and northern Illinois.


Eligibility
Families who have filed a PI-1206 with the DPI, enrolling at least one child as a homeschooler in Wisconsin for the current year. Have a digital copy of your form ready when you apply.

OR

Families new to homeschooling who will be filing the PI-1206 in the fall, or planning to homeschool a kindergarten student who will be 5 years old by October 1, for whom the DPI form is not required. Use this Form instead of the DPI form in your application.

Renewal
New members are welcomed at any time of year, and will be invited to renew at the same time next year. 

Club Express takes care prompting renewals and collecting our dues.

Every fall, all members are required to forward email confirmation of their annual PI-1206 submission to the Department of Public Instruction to: MembershipMAHL@gmail.com
Dues
$15 per family per year.
You may pay online when your membership is approved (follow the prompts).

As of the 5/24/2024 board meeting, checks are no longer being accepted for membership dues.

Virtual and Online Schools
Virtual public and private schools and online schools which grant diplomas are not considered homeschooling in Wisconsin, and students/families are not eligible for MAHL membership.  More information:  WPA: Virtual Public Schools
